2025-26 PSA World Championships to be held in Giza, Egypt

The 2025–26 PSA World Championships, hosted by Palm Hills, will return to Giza, Egypt, bringing together 128 of the world’s top squash players to compete for the sport’s most prestigious title. The championship will take place from May 8-16, 2026.

Palm Hills Sports Club also staged part of the 2023-24 PSA World Championships, with women’s World No.2 Nouran Gohar and Peru’s Diego Elias taking the honours that season.

Gohar won’t return to have another crack at the title, due to her announcement of her pregnancy this year, but Elias will return as he aims to take the title off men’s World No.1 Mostafa Asal, who won last time out in Chicago. Meanwhile, defending champion Nour El Sherbini will look to claim an unprecedented ninth World Championship title, which will put her clear of Malaysian legend Nicol David in the all-time women’s list.

“We are excited to return to Egypt for squash’s biggest tournament, and the picturesque Palm Hills Sports Club will be a perfect setting for the unparalleled drama that the PSA World Championships delivers,” said PSA Chief Executive Alex Gough.

“Being World Champion is the greatest honour in professional squash, and I’m looking forward to watching the battles for the trophies commence in May 2026. I’d like to thank the team at the Palm Hills Sports Club for their support, and we will work closely with them in the coming months in order to put on a spectacular tournament.”

Palm Sports Company Chairman Tarek Attia said: “We are proud to host the PSA World Championships once again at Palm Hills Sports Club, reinforcing Egypt’s position as a global hub for elite squash and international sporting events. Welcoming the world’s top players reflects the strength of our facilities and our commitment to delivering tournaments that meet the highest international standards.
