Hana : Today was very tough.
I couldn’t find my length; the court was completely different from yesterday, it’s much colder and deader.
At the begining, I was not feeling well at all on the court, and she was playing brilliant shots. But she made a lot of errors as well, so I knew that the mental side of the game would be crucial today.
Each game I had to tell myself that I didn’t want to lose, forget about everything, hit your targets. Even if your squash is not good, not helping you…
I’m playing Nada the next round. I watched her this morning, and she played a hard 5 setter as well so I’m happy I’m not the only one that was struggling and having a tough time on this court!
It’s always going to be tough, it’s the worlds, everybody is going to bring their A game: you’ve got to stay strong, and find a way to win, regardless.
I’m still playing part time, as I am a physio in Alexandria, and I’m married as well! It’s really tough but I’m happy to have Nour to support me, who is going through the same experience as me. Same with Zeina, and Mariam, they support me, and even if we don’t see each other every day, we support each other and we help each other going through those kind of tough times….
