World Champs quarters: How to Watch Live

Quarter final action continues tonight from the PSA World Championships in Cairo as eight more players look to secure their place in the semi-finals of the biggest event of the season.

Both reigning World Champions Nour El Sherbini and Ali Farag feature in tonight’s play at the Egyptian National Museum of Civilization as they look to continue the defence of their world titles.

El Sherbini will face England No.1 Sarah-Jane Perry in the opening match of the night. Perry survived a third-round scare against USA’s Sabrina Sobhy as she managed to see off the American in a 57-minute five-game battle.

The second women’s match will be an all-Egyptian affair between No.3 seed Hania El Hammamy and 2019 World Championship runner-up Nour El Tayeb. The pair last met in March at the CIB Black Ball Open with El Tayeb winning 3-1 in an hour-long match.

In the men’s draw, World No.2 and reigning champion Ali Farag will take on No.7 seed Marwan ElShorbagy for a place in the final four. ElShorbagy holds a strong head to head record against Farag (8-4) and won the last encounter at the Windy City Open in February this year.

The winner of that match will play the victor of the last match of the day between US Open champion Mostafa Asal and Qatar Classic champion Diego Elias. Both players have been in fine form this event and both steamrolled their opponents in round three to set up this exciting last eight battle.

Play will begin at 18:45 (GMT+2), live on SQUASHTV. You can keep up with the live scores here.
