The CIB Palm Hills PSA World Championships continue tonight in Giza, Egypt with four quarter-final matches from the bottom half of the draws.
ElSherbini and Weaver set up semi-final repeat
Eight-time and defending champion Nour ElSherbini met Salma Hany for the tenth time, coming from a game down to reach yet another world semi-final.
Olivia Weaver then set up a repeat of last year’s thrilling semi-final as she too kept her winning record over Gina Kennedy, also winning in four games.
Ibrahim and Gawad win from a game down
In the men’s matches Yousseff Ibrahim ended second seed Paul Coll’s quest for a first title as he came from a game down to reach the semis for the first time, where he’ll meet 2016 Champion and fourth seed Karim Abdel Gawad, who also came from a game behind yo beat Youssef Soliman.
