World No.6 Joel Makin has withdrawn from the 2026 CIB Palm Hills PSA World Championships due to a knee injury.
The Welshman was due to take on reigning World Champion Mostafa Asal in his quarter-final contest following back-to-back five-game battles with Miguel Rodriguez and Aly Abou Eleinen.
Asal will now play either 2024 World Champion Diego Elias or World Junior Champion Mohamad Zakaria in the last four.
