Jeremias

“I think now I have too much adrenaline, but I’m so happy and I think maybe I’m not thinking now about the win.

“I’m very happy with my performance, Bernat is an amazing player and you need to be very focused to beat him.

“I have my coach here, Wael El Hindi, Miguel [Rodriguez] and everyone supporting me as well. To all the people in Argentina as well, thank you for the support. I’m very happy, very excited, it’s my first week here at the World Champs and I think I need one more. I’m looking forward for the next match.

“I put my balls in the corners, in the back, on the right side, on the left side. I don’t put balls in the middle because it’s very dangerous with his drop shots. So tried to put my balls in the back and after that tried to walk forward to the front to put pressure on him.

“He [El Hindi] is a very special person for me, he supported me at the very beginning. I didn’t have a PSA ranking, so I started training with him in Florida to improve, I moved straight from Argentina. He’s a legend and now I have all the players as well in my corner, I have the support of Amanda [Sobhy], Jasmine [Hutton], Miguel and Yahya Elnawasany, so I’m very happy.

“I’ve played Diego once, I played him at the PanAm Games three years ago. He was World No.1, three in the world right now, and it’s very special to play with him. He’s a very good friend and I train with him sometimes. I’m looking forward to playing him.”
