Youssef : “I’ve got stiches again! I got stiches last year in Pittsburgh and I’ve had to have them again. It’s a tough sport and I’m glad. I think Omar played really well, he’s very solid and his length hitting which is amazing and he got into it. I was under pressure and I tried do different things to get around him trying to contain him as much as I can and I think I did this very well.
“I tripped over him and then I caught my racket in the first game. It’s tough what happened, I got stiches but I have an off day tomorrow.
“It’s the World Champs so the first match is a bit nervy and you try to do well as best as you can. You try to peak during the World Champs as much as you can, I’m glad to be through and looking forward to the next one.”
