I was a bit surprised by the one pace played throughout the game. It was all about hitting hard, drives and crosscourts. I was expecting a bit more variation, especially from the English player, as she was the one having to find solutions.
Amina “I feel great. It’s my first match on the glass. I’m really happy and pleased with how I played.
“My matches in the first two rounds were on the side court, with half a wall. I just wanted to play both on the sides and not have to play one on glass, go play on sides and then come back on here. It would kind of let me lose the rhythm sometimes.
“I’m actually really excited for the quarters. It’s actually my first time playing in the quarters at the World Champs.”
