““I’m really pleased with the performance today.
It was a really good game today. Me and Leo have played a lot since juniors. We must have played in 2017 or 2018 in Chennai in the quarters of the World Junior’s, and to now think that we’re playing in round three of the senior’s World Championships.
“I’m so happy that he’s lifting his flag the way he is. Mexico is one of my favourite countries, they are all great guys, and to have someone closing in not in the top ten, and contending in Platinum’s, it’s really good for squash.
“Me and Joel have been playing some good squash matches over the years. Our battles are really entertaining, from the physical side and also from the squash side. When it turns into the physical side it turns into WWE. Hopefully not this time, he just played ten games in his last two.”
