The CIB Palm Hills PSA World Championships continued today in Giza, Egypt with eight more Round Three matches, from the top half of the draws.
The Afternoon matches at Palm Hills saw home favourite Salma Hany come from a game down to beat Melissa Alves, while Youssef Ibrahim and Youssef Soliman won their all-Egyptian matches against Yahya Elnawasany and Kareem El Torkey. England’s Gina Kennedy prevented an Egyptian clean sweep as the eighth seed beat Rowan Elaraby in four games.
The evening Glass Court matches started with comfortable wins for second seeds Nour ElSherbini and Paul Coll, then Olivia Weaver came from two games down to deny Nele Gilis in a thriller while Karim Abdel Gawad came from a game down to ensure both fourth seeds progressed.
