The way I feel before events is pretty interesting actually. I think I go through all possible emotions! And when I reflect on being on the court, all I get is… frustration!
I’m trying to take it in a positive way, I think it’s because I’m very hungry, it’s like being an up and coming junior…
Today, coming to this match, I felt nervous, I know her style of game, and how gifted she is. And honestly, she didn’t disappoint.
But mainly, I’m trying to focus on what I do, not so much on what she is doing or not doing. It’s been a while since I played tournaments, so I need to figure out the way I want to play, how to impose my game, and to play a game that makes me comfortable, in other words, trying to be clever on court.
Tomorrow, against Sana: same, I will concentrate on my identity, my game, and that’s pretty much what I’ve been working on…
