Sin Yuk

I wasn’t sure I could come back from 7/3 down in the first game!

We played last November, it was a close match and I think she made some adjustments, because she was taking in it to the front in the very beginning of the first game, and I was quite ready for that, I didn’t thnk she was that knd of player.

So from that point on, I got more ready to go to the front corners, I counterattacked more, and I’m glad I came back to take that opener!

I learned my lesson from my first match, I kept my focus and my consistency throughout the match. Because I knew that if she got even a single game, she would be very hard to beat.

It gives me a lot of confidence [having beaten her before] because it’s always tough playing against her. The last win tells me that I have the fitness to beat her.

“It helps a lot having my coach here because I think I’ve been to a few tournaments alone already in this season. Even though he was at home he usually helps me prepare for my matches, and it helps me to stay mentally focused on the game, on the squash itself.

“Having him here with me also makes me less nervous and helps me stay calm throughout the match.
