The CIB PSA World Championships draw close to their conclusion on Day Nine with four quarter-final matches at the Museum of Egyptian Civilisation .
First up is defending women’s champion Nour El Sherbini, playing in her 11th World Champs semi-final against USA’s Olivia Weaver, the eighth seed playing in her first WC semi. Sherbini leads the H2H 6-0 with Weaver only taking one game.
Defending men’s champion Ali Farag takes on third seed Diego Elias, the first South American ever to reach this stage. Farag has an impressive 22-3 lead in their H2H.
There’s an all-Egyptian second women’s semi as second and third seeds Hania El Hammamy and Nouran Gohar clash for the 22nd time with Gohar leading 22-6.
Last up second seed Paul Coll against fourth seed Mostafa Asal. Coll, appearing in his fourth WC semi-final, leads their H2H 7-6.
