Rowan : I tried my best today not to get into what ever she is doing. She plays three great rallies, then she looks like she is giving up. So if I take notice of those different factors, I might relax and lose focus. So I’m happy I managed to keep my focus at all time today.
I had a game plan, I wanted the match to last as little as possible because I want to save energy for the following round(s)! But playing Malak is never easy, a young Egyptian in Egypt is never easy, especially the up-and-coming fierce generation! In Egypt, a match is a match, and we get on court to win. So it’s always an extra pressure to play a young Egyptian, and especially, a very talented one.
I had almost all my team with me, that gave me a boost and it made me feel confident.
Well the H2H I think is 7/0 to her… This is a match I’m really looking forward to play, no pressure, nothing to worry or think about, playing on the glass, trying to enjoy and play my squash, and I really want to get my revenge, at least once!
