The CIB Palm Hills PSA World Championships 25/26 continued today in Giza, Egypt with another busy day – 32 Round Two matches, 28 at the Palm Hills Club then four on the Glass Court this evening.to decide the last sixteens.
There were two big seeding upsets as 20th seeds Melissa Alves and Kareem El Torkey advanced – France’s Alves ousting 7th seed Fayrouz Aboelkheir with El Torkey delighted the home crown with a 3-0 win over France’s sixth seed Victor Crouin.
England’s Nathan Lake was delighted to reach round three as he beat Muhd Ashab Irfan – either would hve been the only unseeded player to progress.
The evening matches on the Glass Court saw straight-games wins for the top to seeds in each draw – Hania El Hammamy, Nour ElSherbini, Mostafa Asal and Paul Coll (who now meets Lake).
